Day 6/180: The Origin Code- Purpose Alchemy: What if purpose is embodied wisdom waiting to be exhaled?
Remembering What Your Spirit Already Knows
Our inherited stories shape how we perceive ourselves, but these narratives can be transformed. This is where cultural knowledge systems become our guide and strength.
Month Three: Purpose Alchemy — What if purpose is embodied wisdom waiting to be exhaled?
Theme: Remembering What Your Spirit Already Knows
What to expect:
Explore how purpose flows through four connected life areas: Personal (inner growth), Communal (relationships), Environmental (place & planet), and Transcendental (spiritual and ancestral connection)
Purpose is embodied Wisdom waiting to be exhaled. Discover how integrating lived expertise from these four dimensions creates a potent mix of meaning, connection, and wholeness in everyday life.
Set BOLD goals in key life areas based on our Success System FFPPH Formula: Family & Friendships, Faith and Financial, Purpose, Personal and Professional, Family & Friends, Financial Wealth, Happiness, Heart, and Health - choose your focus based on your season.
Explore rituals that honour all parts of yourself—mind, body, and spirit and notice which ones bring clarity, cultural confidence, and forward movement.
Returning to the wisdom of the land of my birth, in Iyanola, Ste Lucie, Saint Lucia - always grounds me in a deeper truth of my purpose.
Reflection Questions to Remix Your Purpose Elements:
Curiosity:
Uncover the source of your purpose knowledge: What did you learn about purpose? Which cultural knowledge systems are you drawing from? Is it from the elements, Fire, Water, Earth, Mineral, Nature? What have you learned about your purpose from ancestral or family knowledge systems? As Malidoma Somé teaches, "You do not search for what you already have." African Indigenous Wisdom reminds us that we are born with our assigned purpose, which is rooted in our birth year. A reminder that what you are looking for is already within you. How might your gifts and talents express the Wisdom you already embody? What if the purpose is embodied Wisdom waiting to be exhaled?
Spot Your Spark: Which of these four areas—Personal, Communal, Environmental, and Transcendental—feels most alive with purpose, and which quietly asks for more attention? Remember that imbalance is often the source of disconnection. What are you being invited to explore or practice? Silence, movement, forest baths, dancing etc etc
Trace Your Narrative Roots: How have your family traditions, cultural background, and community teachings shaped what "living on purpose" means to you? Whose voice shape your purpose talk? Is your name on the list of trusted sources when it comes to knowing and understanding yourself? As Somé reminds us, Purpose is not something we create—it is something we remember.
Compassion:
Trust Your Timing: In Dagara wisdom, rushing the ripening of purpose is like rushing fruit to grow—it happens in its own sacred time. Trusting the inner rhythm of your clock requires silence and surrender to integrate your innate wisdom. Remembering requires space to explore, practice and embody - be it in the community of practice with other humans or nature. When we view purpose time through the aligned cultural knowledge system, the energetic calibration of this wisdom moves us forward and in tune with our purpose in service to the community.
Apply grace and kindness daily - create your micro-affirmation mix tape. Think of one way you've been too hard on yourself about "finding your purpose." Think of the many times your purpose was in full display, yet you fell into the "An A is good, but what happened to the PLUS?" narrative and forgot to thank your innovative self for this birthing. How would you speak to a dear friend facing the same struggle? What grace would you offer through your words? Build a love ethic rooted in your full humanity.
Gather Your Evidence: Remember three moments when you felt, "This is exactly where I'm meant to be." I call these knowing moments—moments that become embodied wisdom codes. These moments are not accidents—they are glimpses of the purpose you've always carried, now making itself known. Dress for it—write stories reminding you why you're here. Become your postcard. Create and maintain your vibes board—be the narrative and become your muse.
Courage:
Release Old Rituals and Blocks: Name one perfectionistic, or this is how I am habit that stops you from embodying your purpose naturally. Rituals are important because they empower us - individually or collectively. Rituals help us maintain self-sovereignty in a world that constantly tries to strip us of that. Rituals teach us how to uphold what really matters and how to create cultural narratives that celebrate all of who we are. Rituals help us create better habits. They help us innovate, build our self-trust muscles, and connect. What small ritual might help clear your path? How can you make a life ceremony? How do you stay in your imagination and creative flow? What I wear helps create the visuals I am walking into.
Take Sacred Action: Choose one purpose-aligned step that honours what your spirit knows. Break it into five small, 15-minute actions this week. Make it simple. Keep at it. Remember, this is how we make new. Small, consistent actions honour the spirits of purpose. Try our Better Habit Routine Tracker
Reclaim Your Measure - Success is cultural: My definition of success includes reclaiming and remembering my cultural roots through the lens of ancestral intelligence. When I remember the Dagara Medicine Wheel and the value systems of the Adinkra Symbols, no one claps or celebrates this. There are many small purpose wins that you may have accomplished yet remain uncelebrated. When we integrate Ancestral Intelligence into our everyday ways of being, no one claps; as a matter of fact, we receive criticism and backlash from everyone, including people from our community groups. So, reclaim your definition of success by creating a celebration list of the cultural wins that matter to you. Identify one current definition of "success" that doesn't resonate with your spirit's knowing. Write your measure of fulfillment that honours what the ancestors have always known to be true about you.
